Doctrines of Faith

The Scripture, both the Old and New Testaments, is God’s total revelation of His will for mankind. It is infallible, inerrant and authoritative for believers’ faith and lives.

The Trinity - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – creates and sovereigns over all things. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are Majesty co-eternal and the Glory co-equal. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, incarnated and conceived by the Holy Spirit and born through virgin Mary, is God and Man. He was crucified and died on the cross with a sinless body, bearing the world's sins. He was resurrected on the third day and ascended into heaven on the fortieth day. He is seated at the right hand of the Father and prays for all believers. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. Believers will inherit eternal life while non-believers will be condemned to death. Thereafter, a new heaven and a new earth will begin.

The Holy Spirit reveals the truth to people so that they will confess their sins and repent. People will receive, through faith in Christ, a new life from the Holy Spirit who lives in the hearts of believers as a comforter. The Holy Spirit will guide them and sanctify them.

Doctrines of Mankind Man is created in the image of God and endowed with potential. However, sin tarnishes our human nature and limits our capacity to reflect God’s glory. It is only through the Gospel and faith in Jesus can man be reborn and renewed to live an abundant life and develop his potential to glorify God and benefit others.
Christian Worldview Before the arrival of the kingdom of heaven, people still live on earth. The earth and everything on it were originally created by God. Man should manage the earth well according to God's purpose so that the earth can be preserved and the human world can develop sustainably. God created humanity as male and female, established the marriage system of monogamy which is practiced between one man and one woman. It is the cornerstone of the healthy development of families, human relations and society. People should pursue benevolence, justice, peace, and the welfare of the entire society until Christ returns to renew everything.
Christian Education view The church will ensure its schools are committed to the implementation of its educational mission and provision of quality education. Church schools should make good use of social and church resources to provide quality education, nurture students, and work together with other members of the society so as to build a just, benevolent, harmonious, and civilized society. Therefore, the school curriculum, in addition to sustaining and developing human civilization in accordance with government regulations, must also clearly convey Christian beliefs and values. The school management committee should manage the schools in accordance with Biblical principles and laws of Hong Kong, and should be accountable to the church and the government. It is advisable for the church to negotiate with the school management committee regarding the use of school facilities and resources.
