Fun Science Competition - Second Prize & Best Design Drawing Award
Congratulations to 2C Grace Wang, Wong Tsz Yan, and 2D Ng Yat To! They represented our school in the "Fun Science Competition" organized by the Hong Kong Science Museum and achieved outstanding results in the Junior Secondary Standard Category, proudly winning both the "Second Prize" and the "Best Design Drawing Award"!
The competition was highly challenging, requiring students to translate scientific theories into physical mechanisms. As seen in their beautifully detailed, award-winning design drawings, our students ingeniously applied various physics principles. They used an internal slope to generate potential energy, harnessed the "inertia" of marbles to push open a magnetic door, and precisely calculated the use of anti-slip pads to increase "friction" for a perfect braking effect. This achievement fully demonstrates their solid foundation in Physics and STEAM, alongside their exceptional problem-solving and hands-on skills!
Our school remains committed to promoting STEAM and science education, nurturing students to become proactive and confident learners. We look forward to seeing our students maintain their passion for science, continuing to explore and shine on their journey of innovation!
