During the recent Biology Academic Day, students showcased their achievements in marine conservation and sustainable development.
A major highlight was the exhibit for the "Sea” Through Cetacean: STEAM Student Ambassador Programme and Cetacean Conservation Exhibition, organized by the Lingnan University. The display of real whale skeletons provided a strong visual impact. Students were able to touch the massive bones and learn about marine biological structures through interactive games, sparking a deeper respect for life sciences and conservation.
Additionally, students presented their "Outstanding Solution Award" project from the 14th Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Programme. Showing their STEAM spirit, they developed a mobile app based on the WWF "Seafood Guide," turning information technology into a practical tool for environmental protection. A strawberry DNA extraction workshop was also held, allowing students to explore the mysteries of biotechnology.
The event successfully combined environmental education with technology, encouraging students to protect our natural ecosystem with science and live a sustainable lifestyle.
