To complement the curricula of various subjects and give students a deeper understanding of the Legislative Council's operations, our school arranged a visit to the Legislative Council (LegCo) Complex on June 25, 2026. This activity aimed to enhance students' knowledge of Hong Kong's political system and its legislature, while nurturing them into good citizens with national identity, a law-abiding spirit, and a sense of social responsibility. Through firsthand observations, guided tours, mock debates, and interactive games, students experienced how bills are debated and passed, further inspiring their awareness of civic duties. Furthermore, we were honored to meet and exchange ideas with the Honorable Alex Fan, MH, during the visit. Mr. Fan led our teachers and students into the Chamber, which not only broadened our students' horizons but also helped them understand the functions and importance of LegCo, how the rule of law is maintained under the "One Country, Two Systems" framework, and the vital role laws play in maintaining social stability, thereby shaping future citizens capable of independent thinking.
