Fides, Spes and Caritas

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Mathematics

Objectives

The Mathematics KLA at Kau Yan College offers Junior Secondary Mathematics Curriculum (S1-S3) and Senior Secondary Mathematics Curriculum (S4-S6, Compulsory Part and Extended Part (Module 2)) as outlined in the syllabus set by the Education Bureau.

Our senior form students are streamed into classes in accordance with their learning abilities. Teachers are able to tailor assignments more closely to the class’s ability, rather than having to provide “one size fits all ” teaching.

For catering our gifted students, our department has joined the program “Gifted Education School Network Initiative (Secondary Schools)” in order to facilitate sustainable development of school-based gifted education.

We provide remedial classes and additional after-school support to students, who struggle with Mathematics due to gaps in their learning. Tailor-made materials are adopted to suit the needs of students.
